General
- What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching helps you achieve specific goals and create sustainable change by focusing on the future and enabling you to take action.
Therapy addresses mental health needs and emotional healing by exploring the past to understand and improve present feelings and experiences.
- What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?
Coaching helps you achieve specific goals and create sustainable change by focusing on the future and enabling you to take action.
Mentoring involves guidance and advice from someone with more experience to help you develop skills and knowledge over time.
- Is the coaching you offer face-to-face or in-person?
I primarily work online via Zoom.
However, if you are local to Salisbury and prefer to work in-person outdoors or otherwise, I am open to considering it. Please note in-person sessions may incur an additional charge due to venue hire fees. Contact me to discuss options.
- Do I need to be neurodivergent to be coached by you?
You don't need to be neurodivergent to be coached by me. We are all neurodiverse as a human species, but not all of us are neurodiveregnt.
My approach is adaptable and can be tailored to each person's unique needs so can be valuable for everyone, regardless of neurotype.
- Can I have an informal chat with you before booking a coaching session?
Yes - go to Book a chat for more information. Or you can send me a message via WhatsApp.
Or you can go directly to choose a date and time that works for you to discuss what you'd like to have happen and see if we're a good fit.
Neurodiversity coaching
- How do I know if neurodiversity coaching is right for me?
- You have an important issue to resolve or outcome to achieve.
- You want a reliable way to clarify your own thinking and tap into your own inner resources that doesn’t involve being told what to do or being given advice.
- You are an independent thinker and like to do things your own way.
- You are noticing you're stuck in recurring challenges or patterns.
- Do I need a diagnosis to access neurodiversity coaching?
No you don't. If you suspect you are neurodivegent or self-identify I will welcome you with or without a 'formal' diagnosis.
- Do you offer coaching following an Access to Work assessment?
Yes - I can offer coaching on a session-by-session basic or am happy to book a series of sessions if preferred.
Coaching
- How do I know if I'm ready to engage in coaching?
You'll know you're ready to engage in coaching when you feel motivated to make changes or achieve specific goals in your life.
Coaching can be beneficial if you're open to self-reflection, willing to take action, and ready to commit time and effort to personal growth and development.
- What kind of topic(s) can I bring to a coaching session?
You can bring any topic to coaching that you feel is important for your personal and/or professional growth.
- What is Clean Language coaching?
Every word you use has a special meaning that's uniquely yours, especially when it comes to metaphors. I reflect your words back to you and add thoughtful questions, helping you understand your own patterns and how they shape your experiences. This way, you gain clearer insights into your goals and challenges.
The "clean" in clean coaching means I focus solely on your language, using David Grove’s Clean Language questions, to keep our sessions free from my own suggestions or judgments. You will feel heard, understood, and respected and you’ll begin to trust yourself and your own inner wisdom.
