Coaching
Description of Coaching:
Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between me the coach and you the client. It is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to make the most of your personal and professional potential. It helps with creating and developing personal, professional, or business goals. We will also develop and carry out a strategy or plan for achieving those goals.
Coach-Client Relationship:
The coach agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behaviour established by the International Coach Federation (ICF): www.coachfederation.org/ethics. It is recommended that you review the ICF Code of Ethics and the applicable standards of behaviour.
Engagement:
You are hiring me as your coach. This agreement starts when you agree to these terms and conditions on booking a session and until we complete all coaching sessions or either of us gives two weeks' notice to end it.
Sessions:
- Sessions last for either 1, 1.5, or 2 hours depending on what you book.
- They can take place over the phone, online, or in person if we both agree.
Cancellation:
- No fee if you cancel more than 7 days before the session.
- 50% fee if you cancel between 7 days and 48 hours before the session.
- Full fee if you cancel less than 48 hours before the session.
- You can reschedule a session, but if it's within these time frames, the cancellation fees still apply.
- I may also cancel a session by giving you 24 hours' notice. If I do so, I will re-schedule the session to the earliest mutually convenient time.
Duties as Your Coach:
- My job is to ask questions that help you find your own solutions. I won’t give advice or tell you what to do.
- I can’t guarantee any specific results. Any actions or decisions you take are your responsibility.
Fees:
- 1 hour: £80.
- 1.5 hours: £120.
- 2 hours: £160.
- You will pay in advance of your appointment via Acuity Scheduling.
Confidentiality:
- Everything we discuss is confidential. I won’t share any of your personal information unless required by law.
- I may talk about our sessions with my own coach or in supervision groups. Your name and details will always remain confidential.
- I may ask to record or transcribe our sessions for supervision. If I do, I will ask for your explicit written permission. Transcripts will be anonymised, and I will store the recordings securely. You can withdraw your consent about this at any time.
Liability:
- You accept that my role as a coach is different from a consultant or mentor. I will not give you advice or tell you what to do.
- You are responsible for any actions or decisions you make. I am not responsible for the results of those decisions.
- Coaching is not therapy. If I feel we are moving into a more therapeutic space, I will acknowledge this with you and refer you to a qualified therapist, as this is not my area of expertise.
